What is the Virtual Bar?
The Virtual Bar profiles the major brands available and includes background information
and serving recommendations. Once you install and launch the bar you can download updates,
view large images of all your favourite beers, wines, spirits, liqueurs and even RTDs, and
of course read the tasting notes, stories and production notes.
Where can I get it?
Most premises that serve or sell alcohol in New Zealand would have been sent the Virtual
Bar on CD. You can also download it here at no charge. To install the Virtual Bar:
— Click on the link below and save the Virtual Bar to a folder on your computer (make
sure you remember which folder)
— Open the folder where you saved the file to and double-click on the ‘Virtual Bar’
installer
— Click on the Virtual Bar link on your desktop to view

I already have the Virtual Bar but I want
to update it.
The best way to update your Virtual Bar is to open / launch your existing Virtual Bar and
click on the [Restock Bar] link in the middle of the main screen. This will take you to a
page on this website where you will be guided through the updating of your Virtual Bar to
the latest version.
Alternatively you can click on the link below to restock you bar.

Suppliers – Add products at no charge.
If your company has produced a product that fits into one of the categories on the Virtual
Bar please supply the required information as outlined on this template.
If your submission meets the criteria in the template we will include it at no charge:
To keep this service free please ensure that you supply all the required material exactly as
described in the template and in a separate email for each product. Attached to your email
should be a single ‘NotePad’ [*.txt] file with all the text, and a high resolution
image.
